The Introduction
Since 1979, Project R.I.D.E. has been serving the greater Sacramento area by providing therapeutic recreational horseback riding and instruction to people of all ages with special needs. This wonderful organization puts on several community-oriented events a year to raise all of their program’s operating funds.
How we got involved:
Legion initially offered consulting services to help upgrade their in-house audio system. However, fairly quickly we saw a larger need for event services. In 2017 Legion produced the annual Spaghetti Feed and has since taken on the Crab Feed, Steak Dinner and additional video projects.
The Challenge
A great thing about the event industry is that every space you work in has its own unique challenges. Project R.I.D.E.’s barn is 34,000 square feet of open space. So the challenge here is turning a 34,000 sq. ft. blank canvas into an exciting event space for over a thousand attendees.
The Solution
Experts in event services. Utilizing scenic and staging elements we build custom backdrops for each event. With colored LED lighting we can transform any space into a fun, exciting venue. With this particular space, we brought in eight separate speaker stacks to ensure clear and even audio amplification.

Legion AVS has an extensive inventory of scenic and staging options in house. Whether it is a wall of drape, a custom built backdrop or a combination of the two, Legion always has what it takes to make your event look spectacular. When you add in our inventory of full LED lighting fixtures to the mix, you can create truly immersive event experiences.
Audiovisual
We also carry a wide variety of speakers, which give us the flexibility to be able to handle many different types of venue. In this case, it allowed us to create a crisp and clear volume all the way at the back of the house, while not over powering the guests at the front. We want every guest to have a front row experience.
The Results
Going on our third year with Project R.I.D.E., they have upped their attendance to every event they put on. At the January Crab Feed, we had over 2000 people attend!
